We can divide desk calendars into two types: horizontal and vertical. We also divided them into spiral bound binding and non-binding. 2.Choose the binding methods.

Most of desk calendars use wire-o binding for easy reading and tearing. But the iron ring is also very different. If the diameter of the iron ring is very close to the thickness of the desk calendar. Such a desk calendar is very uncomfortable when turning pages. And it is easy to get stuck between the two pages, which look stingy. So when choosing an iron ring, be sure to choose an iron ring with a slightly larger size of about 2mm. So that it will feel better when turned.

3. The choice of cardboard

Print high quality desk calendars are often use gray cardboard. The cardboard used for some very cheap desk calendars must be ordinary cardboard. Good cardboard has very good hardness and durability. It is not easy to deform for a long time use. But if use ordinary cardboard custom desk calendar is very easy to deform and damage.

At present, we often use coated paper and matte paper for desk calendar printing. Coated paper is one of the most used papers for desk calendar printing due to it is highly competitive. If you custom high quality desk calendar printing, we often choose 150 g, 200 g, 300 g, 400 g coated paper for printing. Matte paper is used very less. If customers want their desk calendars to look different or more high end. The effect of choosing matte paper to print will definitely make customers shine. Both color and printing quality are top end. But the price is more expensive than the coated paper. The gram weight is often used 157 g, 210 g, 250 g.

5. The choice of size

The size of the custom desk calendar can actually be arbitrary, as big as you want (don’t exceed the printing press). Anything is possible if you want to do. But, if it is a business, you must consider the cost. Here are a few more often used and suitable sizes (here, the size is a batch of printed pages):

Long desk calendar:

24cm X 14cm generous folio with 14 pages

24cm X 11cm generous folio with 14 pages

21cm X 14cm generous folio with 16 pages

High type desk calendar:

16.5cm X 17cm generous folio with 15 pages

19cm X 17cm generous folio with 12 pages

19cm X 17.5cm generous folio with 12 pages

6. Choice of the number of pages

According to the month, we divide the number of pages into 4 types. Which are weekly calendar, semi-monthly calendar, monthly calendar, and bi-monthly calendar. With the cover, it corresponds to 52 pages, 25 pages, 13 pages, and 7 pages. We can add the pages according to the actual content.

7. The choice of paper grams

We often use 105 g-300 g paper to print desk calendar. Someone will consider the number of sheets when choosing the thickness of the paper. For 52 pages of weekly calendars, it is not advisable to choose paper over 200 g. Because it is difficult to match the desk calendar coils over 200 g. You do better don't choose paper under 157 grams for 7 pages of bi-monthly calendars. Because it will look thin. If you use 300 g paper for 25 pages of semi-monthly calendars, you do not need a triangular desk calendar stand. Otherwise top-heavy and unstable.
