In board book printing process, die cutting is an important step related to production quality and production efficiency. Card book die cutting has special requirements for the process, die cutting will directly affect the quality of products, must be strictly in accordance with the process requirements.


The die-cutting process of the board book printing is as follows: mold making or mold �?upper version �? setting machine pressure �?adjusting rules �?sticking sponge rubber strip �? pressure cutting, adjusting pressure �?formally cutting and cleaning waste. Even according to this kind of more standard die-cutting process operation, after the die-cutting products still have some products will appear the phenomenon of edge, paper dust, trace line powerless, even burst line, below we analyze the causes of these problems and solutions.


Paper and blades

The paper that board book uses has 200~500 g/m2 gray bottom white board paper and white card paper, also have 1~3 thick gray board paper, some paper fiber is longer, density is high, can not rise hair, dust generally, and some white board paper or gray board paper fiber is short, density is low, drop powder is serious, die cut paper dust is many, not only hair but also not easy die cut. For this kind of paper in board book printing, should choose high-quality blade or steel good special-shaped mold.


After die-cutting, press the back knife paper (bottom template) to determine the exact position of the knife line. Die-cut version on the computer according to the card page to confirm the location of the knife line and indentation line, the product has a holistic grasp. Debugging stage pressure must be light, the bottom template has a clear indentation line. After adjusting the knife slot, first set a pressure value, pad the paper under the steel bottom plate, observe whether the knife line at the edge of the knife is easy to separate after pressure test, disconnect the pressure to do local paper pad treatment, make the plate die cutter pressure uniform, and gradually increase the machine pressure.

Suitable pressure, die cutting edge clean, easy to separate, and die cutting knife is not easy to wear.


Selection and installation of sponge tape

Sponge tape should have enough hardness to press the paper, so that the die-cutting knife will cut the paper smoothly in board book printing. Different paper should use different hardness sponge rubber strip, installation position and height should also be scientific, standard material selection and installation is the basis for improving die cutting quality.


Use of Die Cutter

Some reprint board book, the size specification does not change, in order to reduce the cost, often uses the original die-cut edition, but because the old die-cut edition storage time is too long or the last die-cut quantity is too many, the blade is no longer sharp, it is difficult to die-cut qualified products, paper dust, edge, indentation line deformation and other failures are also difficult to avoid. In view of this situation, the wear of the old die cutter should be checked before production. If the die cutter has exceeded the specified die cutting amount, the new knife should be prepared directly to avoid the appearance of defective products.
