Documents are very important to the printing quality of a children’s book. In order to turn the customer’s documents into a beautiful book. Our major requirements for children’s book printing documents are as follows:
1. Printing a children’s book. There are a lot of software for design files, such as PS, AI etc. The customer should curve transfer the files and save them as PDF format before sending to us. Why must it be in PDF format? Because the appearance of the PDF file is the same as that of the original document. The font, image, graphics and layout of the original document are retained. Thus educing the occurrence of random code and version run, and saving the time for proof reading.
2. RGB cannot be selected as the file color, but CMYK (C-Cyan cyan, M-Magenta magenta, Y-Yellow yellow, K-Black black) should be selected. Because these four colors have their own color plates and record the dots of relative colors during printing children’s book. The four color plates together form the defined primary colors. In this way, the printing effect will be closer to the customer’s documents.
3. The definition of each image should be set to 300DPI. If the DPI is too low, the image will be blurred.
4. Add 3mm bleeding on the four sides of each inside page of the children’s book to prevent the finished product from having white edges due to errors in cutting. The bleeding on the softcover is 3mm, but the hardcover cover requires 18mm bleeding. The bleeding on the hardcover cover is usually folded into the edge of the cover.
5.The distance between text and book edges should be at least 3mm, this margin can prevent the text from being cut off when cutting.
