people in the Chinese printing industry, the term post-press is familiar to you. It refers to the
post-printing work. Generally, the post-processing of printed matter includes
over-glue (film), over-UV, over-oil, beer, hot stamping, and punching.
Embossing, mounting, binding, cutting, etc., are mostly used for publicity and
packaging printed matter. The ten basic post-printing processes are listed
below, in no particular order, for your preliminary understanding and
understanding.
1.

Lamination

commonly used on book cover of book printing by Chinese printers.
8.
Perforated lines
This
is one of the post-processing to press out a half connected line for paper,
usually appear in the opening of the packaging, some are use for the book inner
paper in order to tear off.
9.
Drilling
It
is to make a hole in a piece of paper or n-sheet paper according to the size
required, and there is a special punch.
10.
Pile coating
It
is to brush the paper with glue, and then paste a layer of material similar to
the wool, so that the paper looks and feels a little bit of flannelette.
